RoadLog is a companion app for lorry drivers. It keeps the day's record on your phone and shows how much driving and working time you have left before your next break or rest.
RoadLog is in private testing, used on real shifts by a driver alongside a tachograph. It is not available to download yet.

What it does
Two numbers, always in view
Remaining drive time and remaining work time, side by side and given equal weight. Working time is what most often catches a driver out, so it is never the small print.
The day, in order
Clock in, clock out and the duty states by hand, with the sequential record of the day behind the two numbers.
Notices when you drive
RoadLog switches between other work and driving as the lorry moves and stops, using the phone's own motion sensing and GPS speed, and keeps the trail of each drive.
Breaks that count
Choose a 15, 20, 30 or 45 minute break and see what it does for both the drivers' hours rules and the working time rules before you take it.
Works without signal
Every number is worked out on the phone itself. The cab is not a place with reliable signal, and RoadLog does not need it.
Vehicle and stops
The vehicle's registration and details, and the shift's delivery stops. Near a stop, RoadLog offers an Arrived button; only your tap records it, because driving past to turn round is not arriving.
A companion, not the legal record
If your vehicle must use a tachograph, the tachograph is the legal record and RoadLog does not replace it. RoadLog's figures are a guide to help you plan your day. If they ever differ from the tachograph, the tachograph is right.

The account is the driver's own, not an employer's. Change jobs and your history comes with you.
